BOB ZUBA
Bob Zuba graduated from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in communication design and continued his studies at the prestigious Illustrators Workshop (which came to be known as the Ivy League of commercial art programs)—Fordham University, Marymount at Tarrytown, and the State University of New York at Buffalo. In his downtime, he also earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in computer graphics. Working in graphic design, he utilized both disciplines in a career in illustration. The evolution and development of his founding, innovative technique, which he refers to as 'Zubism'—a conceptually driven creative practice turning solid color into realism with the use of texture and embedded design elements—proved successful. His first client was Outside Magazine, and the editorial assignment was on the effects of hypothermia.

Bob's illustrations soon started to appear in The Washington Post, Texas Monthly, Playboy, Sports Illustrated for Kids, The Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Discover, and many more, both nationally and internationally. With a strong imagination, his character creations include the versatile Zubism monster, the personally driven cat, and countless creatures big and small. Some current and new areas of interest are children's picture books, advertising posters, kids' toys, greeting cards, preschool activity books, and advertising campaigns.

Over the years, he received awards and recognition from The New York Art Directors Club, The Society of Illustrators of New York, Prints Regional Design, The Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles, The Philadelphia Art Directors Club (Gold and Silver Medals), The Visual Club, Page One Publishing/Singapore, and American Illustration. His work has been shown in group exhibitions that have taken place at The Society of Illustrators of New York for the 9/11 Prevailing Human Spirit show and the annual exhibitions at The Society of Illustrators of New York, The Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles, The Philadelphia Art Directors Club, The New York Art Directors Club, the portfolio show for The Society of Publication Designers, The Visual Club, and art galleries.
