Bob Zuba graduated from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Communication Design and continued his studies at the prestigious Illustrators Workshop in Tarrytown, New York. In his downtime, he also earned an Associate in Applied Science degree in Computer Graphics.

Working in graphic design he utilized both disciplines into a career in illustration. The evolution and development of his founding innovative technique he refers to as 'Zubism', A conceptually driven creative practice, turning solid color into realism with the use of texture and embedded design elements proved successful. His thinking is instinctive with method overtones. His first client, then in Chicago, was Outside Magazine and editorial assignment on the effects of hypothermia.

Bob’s illustrations soon started to appear in The Washington Post, Texas Monthly, Playboy, Sports Illustrated for Kids, The Wall Street Journal, Businessweek, Discover and many more both nationally and international. With strong imagination, his character creations include the versatile Zubism Monster (shown below), the personally driven cat and countless creatures big and small. Some current and new areas of interest are editorial, design firms, advertising agencies and children's picture books which include advertising posters, kid’s toys, greeting cards, magazines, pre-school activity books, textbooks and advertising campaigns.

Over the years he received awards and recognition from The New York Art Directors Club, The Society of Illustrators of New York, Prints Regional Design, The Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles, The Philadelphia Art Directors Club, The Visual Club, Page One Publishing/Singapore, and American Illustration.  His work has been shown in  group exhibitions that have taken place at The Society of Illustrators of New York for the 911 Prevailing Human Spirit show and  the annual exhibitions at The Society of Illustrators of New York, The Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles, The Philadelphia  Art Directors Club, The New York Art Directors Club,  portfolio show for The Society of Publication Designers and art galleries.

His contemporary illustrations are in personal and private collections as well as corporate / USA. Bob currently lives in Pennsylvania. He is an environmentalist.
